Flet's ADSL Prices–Eastern Japan

This page shows the prices you can expect to pay for Flet's with OCN ADSL services in Eastern Japan. Included are all the costs such as modem rental, tax, etc.

IMPORTANT–READ BEFORE LOOKING AT PRICES

These prices include all the monthly fees you'll have to pay. That is important to keep in mind if you compare these prices with other services. On most sites, the "banner" prices typically do not include everything you actually have to pay.

For example, many ISP web sites give a price for their service but do not include the ADSL access or modem rental costs. ADSL services will include their charges but not the ISP charges that you will also have to pay.

Technically, those prices for their parts of the service might be "true," but it's not very useful in knowing how much access through their services will really cost. On this site, we include everything.

KNOW THIS: There isn't a huge difference between what any of the companies charge. If you see prices that are much less than what you see here, it is safe to assume something is being left out.

Flet's ADSL with OCN

DSL-type broadband is offered in six speeds from 1M to 47M. ADSL is available in most areas of Japan but not all the speeds are offered at some exchanges.

With or Without NTT Telephone Service

ADSL service may be used either on a line with working NTT telephone service (called Type 1) or without working telephone service (called Type 2).

The expectation that many have that Type 2 will be much cheaper is not correct. To make comparison easier, this page lists the prices of Type 1 service including the cost of telephone lines.

Basic telepone fees, however, vary according to the type of service, whether the line is owned and the population of the local telephone exchange area. On this page, we show the range of prices from lowest to highest for residential service and then the average.

With or Without OCN Dot Phone (IP phone)

Flet's ADSL may also be used with or without OCN's "Dot Phone" (IP phone) and, oddly, the total service cost is higher if you don't include Dot Phone in the services you order. For this reason, the prices on this page are based on Flet's ADSL with OCN Dot Phone service included.
