Yahoo! BB ADSL Price Chart

Here's the deal: Yahoo! BB ADSL is provided over NTT's metal telephone wire system. The service may be obtained either with NTT phone service or without NTT phone service.

If ADSL service is obtained without NTT phone service, then the ADSL prices are higher because Yahoo! BB must pay an extra fee to NTT for use of the wires.

On the other hand, if ADSL is obtained with NTT Phone Service, then the Yahoo! BB prices are lower but the user also pays NTT for phone service. In either case, the total cost to the user is about the same with non-NTT service being a couple hundred yen, or so, cheaper.

Contract Period

There is no minimum period.
You may quit the service anytime without penalty.

Initial Connection Fees

There is a connection fee of ¥5,040 but it is not billed when you join. It billed at the rate of ¥84/month for 60 months. If you quit before the charge is paid off, the balance is forgiven--you do not have to pay it off.

Connection Note

NTT fee for Connecting ADSL on phone line (¥5,040) is paid by Yahoo! BB and then billed back to the customer at the rate of monthly ¥84/month for 60 months. Charge starts with the 3rd month of service if campaign benefits apply.
